Hajoca trainees from all over the country had an opportunity to visit Charlotte Pipe this fall. The visit included classroom and hands-on training and tours of the foundry and plastics plant. The trainees had a fun, enriching experience and they also got to enjoy the city of Charlotte.
The good people of Charlotte Pipe and Foundry are both excellent teachers and entertainers. The three day training experience that was hosted for us was incredibly educational and fun. Think you know all there is to know about pipe and fittings? This class gets into the fine details of cast iron and plastic products and left me feeling like I will be the go to guy at my profit center when it comes to Charlotte Pipe. The experience included lectures, tours, and hands-on training. What better way to learn about products than by using them in a competitive, team-building environment? Charlotte Pipe has equipped me with the knowledge to better relate to our customers, and with the new relationships I made while there, I am confident that I could find any answer relating to Charlotte Pipe quickly and easily. I want to extend a big thank you to Charlotte Pipe and Foundry and Hajoca for this incredible learning experience!
I found the Charlotte Pipe Training to be one of the most beneficial trainings I have attended thus far in the MDP program. The Charlotte Pipe staff was incredible. We not only received classroom training BUT also hands-on training of running a DWV system with cast iron and supplying hot/cold water systems via CPVC. This was outstanding. Having to work hands-on, allows me to better understand what the customer goes through and to stress the importance of safety to my customers moving forward (NO AIR TESTING!). Furthermore, besides the smell, the tour of the Cast Iron Foundry was eye opening and very interesting to tour and learn more about!
